TiMBeeeeeeeR
TREES TREES TREES…..yep we have a lot! I am thinking that these beautiful trees have to go, yes! yes they do!
I actually feel very sad about this, I Love them but they are in the way and I promise as soon as I can I will plant more but this time I will make sure they are all native and not have a ridiculous root system. One of the trees we have has a very large root system and to me this is a worry.
We have to get them removed, who does this the tree guy or the people who demolish and clear the block?
I feel my stress levels elevating with every little or big thing that has to be decided upon ARRRGGGHHH!!! I am today having a particular bad day and days like these I think what the hell have I got myself into.
Anyway if anyone has any recommendations on Demolition people or tree people that would be great I guess the best place to start is with quotes.

Crazy ideas! Decorating
I have these crazy ideas and one of them is how I want my family room space to be, this will be mine and my husbands space and I would like it to be a shabby chic meets mess look. I just love the eclectic and miss-matched look it's very much like me. My husband and I love to read and listen to music...NO TV here!
here are a few ideas that I have including the revenge chair lol....

Not sure how any of this will go in a modern house, I may very well change my mind once we move in so wont be purchasing any thing just yet!
What we will really be using as furniture for a while lol

Colours
We have our deposit variation, we want to make a few small changes one being the air conditioner and the other the glass to our bedroom we would like double glazed there even though our neighbour is rather quite I would still prefer to have it! Hopefully wont be a problem to make any necessary changes!
Our colour walk through will be in 2 weeks so I best get myself organised about what colours we would prefer and a trip to austral bricks will be required as well.....Busy Times

Understanding the Quote
So we have a Quote! most of it is fairly straight forward some i'm just not sure about, GOOGLE is now my new best friend! However I am hoping some of you lovely bloggers out there might have some tips and advice for me.
We want double glazed windows on the master bedroom to help eliminate noise as our bedroom will be along the neighbours driveway. In the quote its 6.38mm laminated sun energy. Not sure that it will provide much noise block Does anyone know anything about this?
Soil removal, should we be worried? This is something that we have to organise and pay for ourselves, the sales lady said this is a good thing but I am unsure... any advice here would be great too.

Our first brick
Today we made first payment to go ahead...Eek excited and terrified at the same time, we were given a nice shiny box (or as she called it our first brick) and folder to keep all our stuff in lol. I am now scared that this is all happening to fast or not fast enough, so many things to organise, the loan being one of them and then there is the removal of the trees and the house, clearing of the land omg and I think we need to have a landscape plan??? no idea what we will do there!
FEELING OVERWHELMED, EXCITED, HAPPY.....THIRSTY, a nice cold glass of Jansz to celebrate me thinks :)

The search for a house
Our quest to find the perfect home started around 2 years ago, I would search endlessly at different display home locations with my then 4 year old and 10 year old in tow. Master 4 would love looking at all the different houses and squealing in delight at the chance that this could be his bedroom. Miss ten's enthusiasm wore off after the third or fourth house! By the time master four turned into master 6 he was happy to have the cupboard under the stairs"just like Harry Potter".
So after all this research it was time to bring the Husband along to view and discuss the houses that I had come up with from my very extensive research. Ok it didn't start off real well as I realised we had slightly different Ideas but then I took him to "Another builder" display and he liked it! we both like it! Happy days.
Time to bring in the family for a look asked lots of questions Decision made, or so we thought unfortunately not!
so we paid the initial deposit for a tender all good and we are excited!
Lets just say it didn't work out, I can say that their communication was poor between the sales and who ever was doing the tender! I would have expected it to be that lacking if it had of been a free one, but we paid for it! Then the guy presenting the tender said "sign it anyway! our prices are about to go up" ok maybe we were expecting too much we are happy to accept that but their customer service was very disappointing to say the least and that not feeling right about it would not go away! so alas we started looking again!
Off we went this time to Gregory hills, we looked at the few they had there and my hubby says lets look at those ones pointing to the Mcdonald jones display homes, I was like "we can if you want, but it's a steel frame I doubt that we can afford it!" so off we toddled to walk through the Milano 4 first and WOW, I LOVED IT! However didn't like where the kitchen was!
The following week we went to Fyfe rd at Kellyville Ridge, the Milano there is set up different and the kitchen is amazing we both liked it, decision made lets get a quote! we were happy with the free Tender which is 30,000 less than the "Other Builder" so have now paid a deposit for a formal tender, lets hope it doesn't change too much. Its a knockdown rebuild so may be a lot more involved! 2 weeks to wait until we get the tender ! EXCITED!!
